Over the last few years, the battle royale genre has become extremely popular, and very few titles are as well-known as Apex Legends. This fast-paced game puts you in squads of three and then has you battle up to 60 other players. While this game does have a few mechanical issues, it continues to be one of the best battle royale titles on the market, and it is completely free to play on all consoles and devices.

The primary goal of Apex Legends is to outlast all of your opponents on an island that is set in the Titanfall universe. When you first start the game, every single player is placed on a small plane that follows a random course over the island. As soon as you come to an area where you would like to drop, you and your team exit the plane and parachute toward your preferred area. Once you reach the ground, you must seek out crates and other caches where you can find weapons, improved armor, and other important items.

From the moment that the plane passes over the island, a circle will appear on each player’s map. That circle is the designated area where all combatants must go before the timer reaches zero. When the timer expires, the circle will shrink and players must continue to move to smaller and smaller zones. One team or squad will win after all of the other players have been eliminated from the match.

There are a few different features that set Apex Legends apart from all of the other battle royale titles on the market. The design of this game is very unique, and many of the same developers who created Titanfall also worked on Apex Legends. Each area of the island has a personal touch, and it feels as if players are battling it out on a piece of land that has a rich history.

The complexity of the characters and weapons is another reason why millions of people have played this game. There are dozens of weapons and upgrades to choose from, and each of those guns is built for a very specific type of combat. You will need to choose a character and set of weapons that best match your style of play.
